Mastilo Studios is located at Parkweg 24 in Ede, Gelderland. Within walking distance from Ede-Wageningen station. Coming by car? Parking is free (2 hours with a parking disc) and can be anywhere in our street or at the parking lot of the Jumbo (around the corner).

We work by appointment only. You can easily make these yourself through our online booking system.

We choose to work by appointment only. For setting your piercing, but also for picking out a new piece of jewelry or a checkup of your existing piercing.

We are a team of two professional piercers - Lina and Jess. While booking your appointment you can indicate a preference for a piercer. If you do not then you will see the availability of both of us.

We choose the highest quality jewelry and we stand behind it 100%. We therefore do not work with jewelry purchased elsewhere. To ensure our hygienic practices, we will also not pierce you with jewelry from a brand we work with but was not purchased from us. We cannot guarantee clean, unused jewelry. We do not place previously worn jewelry in fresh wounds.

We do not place previously worn jewelry in fresh wounds. An open wound deserves 100% clean, unused jewelry with a mirror-smooth, hand-polished finish. A worn piece of jewelry may not be able to be 100% cleaned so it cannot be 100% sterilized either.

No, you don't have to. We will take ample time during your appointment to discuss the jewelry options and help you find your dream jewelry. Of course, looking at the webshop in advance is a nice way to prepare for your appointment. It is also useful to make a wish list, so we get an idea of what you are looking for.

We have different age limits for setting different piercings.
Please note! If you are under 16, one of your parents must be present during the piercing and both of you must be able to provide identification.

We work with a piercing fee (cost of setting the piercing, excluding jewelry). The piercing fee for most piercings is €40. (surface, dermal anchor and intimate excepted).

There will also be an additional cost for your chosen jewelry. Depending on the desired placement and your anatomy, this can be a ring, straight or curved rod.
To make it clearer we have indicated in our booking system what the costs are for a basic piercing. The final price depends entirely on your taste and choice of jewelry.

Finally, there is an additional cost for piercing aftercare (€10-€15). Purchasing aftercare is obviously not mandatory but definitely recommended.

We will not pierce you when you are pregnant. During pregnancy you are more susceptible to infections and complications in your healing . In addition, your body is busy working for your baby and will not pay attention to an open wound that needs months to heal. We will also not pierce you during the first year of breastfeeding.

Take care of your piercing twice a day with a prepackaged, sterile physiological saline solution and sterile gauze pads (nonwoven pads). Do not sleep on your piercing, do not touch it with your hands. Read all about caring for your piercing on our aftercare page.

We are best reached by email. Send your email to piercing@mastilostudios.com or fill out the contact form. We aim to respond to emails within 48 hours on weekdays.

We ship all orders with Track & Trace, via PostNL. Almost all of our products fit through the mailbox, which is why we choose a mailbox package.
If the order becomes too large and does not fit through the mailbox anymore (aftercare, merchandise), then there will be extra charges for shipping.
Shipping costs within the Netherlands:
Letterbox package: €5
Parcel post: €8
Shipping costs Belgium: €11.20

Orders to foreign countries are always shipped as packages. During checkout, shipping costs are calculated according to the destination country.

When you order a piece of jewelry from us we will start working for you as soon as possible. However, it may happen that it takes up to 3 business days before your order is shipped.

Occasionally, when completing your order you may receive a message that shipping to your country is not possible. In that case please send an e-mail to piercing@mastilostudios.com, we will be happy to help you.

All jewelry is shipped clean and sealed. For hygienic reasons, opened items or items with damaged packaging may not be returned. Are you unsure if you want to keep the product you received? Then leave the packaging closed!

Special orders (custom orders, items ordered specially for the consumer, custom items) and anodized (discolored as desired) jewelry cannot be exchanged or returned due to their personal nature.

Return shipping costs are not covered by Mastilo Studios and are the responsibility of the consumer.
Exchange or return is possible within 14 days from date of receipt! Send us an email to register your return.

We have created a handy chart showing how piercing jewelry is measured. If you can't figure it out, send us an e-mail and we will try to help you remotely. You may still have to come to the studio to get the perfect size.

You can purchase both a digital and paper gift certificate from us.

The jewelry brands we work with guarantee the quality of their jewelry for life. If it is a factory defect it will always be covered and repaired.
Is the jewelry damaged or broken by your own actions? Then in most cases it can still be repaired but this will not be free of charge.

Jewelry made from reactive metals such as titanium and niobium can be anodized by electrolytic treatment. Anodizing is the coloring of metal by dipping it into an electrically charged bath. This creates different colors without coating or damaging the surface. No paints, chemicals or dyes are used in anodizing; this process is 100% safe. The colors that can be obtained include brown, blue, purple, yellow, pink, green in various shades.
The color in some cases will diminish over time. This depends on the products the jewelry is exposed to. When this happens, the jewelry will eventually regain its original color.

Yes, you can. You can pay by debit card and cash with us.

Through our booking system, you can schedule an appointment for multiple people.

Of course. However, do not bring your entire group of friends, besides you and your piercer, one additional person is allowed in the piercing room.

You are of course very welcome. We would be very pleased if you send us an e-mail to schedule the time of the appointment.
After your dog's visit, we need more time than usual to prepare the work area for our next client. Therefore, our preference is always to book the last appointment of the day.
